Viceroy Hotels & Residences Names Nicholas Untermann General Manager Ahead of New York Flagship Opening in 2027

Viceroy Hotels & Residences has named Nicholas Untermann as General Manager of Viceroy Park Avenue, its eagerly awaited flagship property in New York City, scheduled to open on 1 February 2027. With more than 15 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Untermann joins the hotel’s pre-opening leadership team as preparations advance for its debut in Manhattan’s vibrant NoMad neighbourhood.
As General Manager, Untermann will lead the hotel’s day-to-day operations and oversee preparations for its opening. Situated at the intersection of Park Avenue South and 29th Street, the upscale property will offer 252 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, with interiors created by Meyer Davis Studio. The hotel will also introduce a distinctive dining experience developed in collaboration with Tao Group Hospitality, alongside more than 15,000 square feet of flexible event facilities.
Additional highlights will include a rooftop swimming pool and lounge, a dedicated spa, a modern fitness centre and an expansive 2,100-square-foot Wellness Penthouse. Combining contemporary accommodation, premium dining, wellness facilities and event spaces, Viceroy Park Avenue is preparing to establish a new luxury hospitality presence in one of Manhattan’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
