Radisson Hotel Group has accelerated its international growth plans during 2026, adding hundreds of new rooms to its worldwide portfolio through hotel openings, development agreements, brand expansion, and market entries.

The company completed 160 hotel signings and openings during the first six months of the year, representing more than 22,000 rooms across a wide range of destinations. The expansion covered luxury, lifestyle, upscale, resort, conversion, and mixed-use developments as Radisson continued to respond to rising demand for internationally recognised hotel brands.

The growth reflects increasing confidence among hotel owners and investors, supported by strong operating performance and growing demand for branded accommodation across global markets.

Radisson continued strengthening its European presence with new projects and openings in several countries. The company signed Radisson Collection Hotel, Frankfurt and Radisson RED Vienna Danube Riverside, while expanding operations through new hotels in Austria, Germany, and Poland.

The company also increased its presence in leisure destinations through resort openings in Tenerife and Phuket. These developments support the continued recovery and growth of international leisure tourism, particularly in destinations attracting travellers seeking premium resort experiences.

The Radisson Individuals brand expanded further with new additions in Greece and Spain, while Radisson RED entered additional markets including New Zealand, the Philippines, and Turkey. The lifestyle brand’s expansion highlights the growing demand for flexible hospitality concepts designed for modern travellers.

Radisson Collection also continued to strengthen its luxury portfolio, expanding into high-value destinations including Lake Como. The brand’s development strategy focuses on attracting guests seeking premium experiences in globally recognised locations.

Sustainability remained a major focus within Radisson’s global growth strategy. The company is expanding its Verified Net Zero programme with plans to add ten more hotels across Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The initiative will also reach South Africa with the introduction of its first Verified Net Zero hotel in the country.

The group also achieved international recognition for its culinary offering, with Les Loges at Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel, receiving its first Michelin star after reopening.

The Middle East and Africa continued to provide significant growth opportunities for Radisson. During the first half of 2026, the company opened Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Barsha Heights, Radisson Collection Residences, Riyadh, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Almaty Airport.

Africa has become an increasingly important expansion market for the group, with Radisson surpassing 100 hotels either operating or under development across the continent. The milestone highlights the company’s long-term commitment to growing its presence in African hospitality markets.

Asia Pacific remained another key region for development, supported by increasing travel demand, population growth, economic expansion, and growing investor interest in branded hotels.

China continues to represent a major part of Radisson’s future growth plans. The company operates more than 260 hotels across China under several brands, including Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Park Inn by Radisson, and Radisson RED.

The company’s Chinese pipeline includes projects across major urban centres such as Beijing, Wuhan, and Chongqing, along with expansion into Tier Two, Tier Three, and Tier Four cities. Radisson expects continued opportunities in China due to the size of the domestic travel market and increasing consumer preference for trusted hotel brands.

In Southeast Asia Pacific, the opening of LIME Resort Bohol marked a regional milestone as the first Radisson Individuals Premier property in the area. The development strengthens Radisson’s lifestyle and upscale offering in one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism regions.

Australasia also recorded a major expansion milestone with Radisson RED Auckland becoming the group’s first hotel in New Zealand. The opening introduced the Radisson RED brand to the country and expanded the company’s presence in the region.

India continued to be one of Radisson Hotel Group’s fastest-growing markets during the first half of 2026. The company signed and opened 22 hotels across the country, increasing its Indian development pipeline to nearly 100 properties.

Radisson currently operates 142 hotels with more than 15,500 rooms across 86 Indian cities, creating one of the company’s largest country portfolios worldwide.

The company is targeting further expansion through its India Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to grow its Indian portfolio to 500 hotels within the next five years. The plan is supported by rising domestic tourism, improving infrastructure, increased business travel, and strong demand for branded hospitality.

Radisson’s global expansion during the first half of 2026 demonstrates the company’s focus on long-term growth through diverse brands, strategic market development, and sustainable hospitality initiatives.

With continued investment across established markets and emerging destinations, Radisson Hotel Group is strengthening its position as a major international hospitality operator while preparing for further expansion opportunities throughout 2026 and beyond.
