Beyond leisure facilities, Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett has been developed as a destination for meetings, events and celebrations. The resort includes Summit, a conference and banquet facility spread across approximately 3,000 sq. ft., with the ability to host up to 250 guests based on event requirements.
With its combination of accommodation, dining, event facilities and outdoor spaces, the resort is positioned to serve corporate retreats, destination weddings, social functions and private gatherings. The opening further strengthens Cygnett’s presence in India’s growing leisure and experiential tourism market while bringing Wyndham’s global hospitality association to the Jim Corbett region.
“Jim Corbett has developed into a strong year-round leisure market, with demand extending beyond wildlife travel to family holidays, celebrations and corporate retreats. For us, this opening is also an important expression of what Cygnett Collection is intended to represent. We want to bring together destination-led properties that have a clear sense of place and an individual identity, while giving guests the consistency of service and operating standards associated with Cygnett,” said Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett brings together the brand’s unique destination-focused identity with Cygnett’s hospitality expertise and the global distribution network of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The partnership is expected to strengthen the property’s presence among leisure travellers from India and overseas markets while aligning with Cygnett’s expansion strategy of creating differentiated hotels in emerging and high-demand destinations.
The launch reflects Cygnett’s continued efforts to grow Cygnett Collection as a specialised midscale hospitality portfolio featuring boutique resorts, heritage-inspired properties and hotels designed around the character of their locations. Unlike conventional standardised hotel models, Collection properties are developed to preserve their local architecture, cultural influences and destination appeal while maintaining modern service standards through the company’s signature Cygnetture hospitality approach.
Located in one of North India’s most popular wildlife and road-trip destinations, Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett aims to offer travellers a complete leisure experience by combining proximity to the natural surroundings of Corbett with comfortable accommodation, dining options and facilities for events and group stays. Its addition to Wyndham’s Trademark Collection further highlights the growing collaboration between Cygnett Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as both companies explore new opportunities for hospitality growth across India and the wider South Asian region.
Commenting on the milestone, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, said,“When we started Cygnett twelve years ago, we were convinced that India’s hospitality growth story would increasingly be shaped by emerging cities and untapped destinations. The North East, pilgrimage centres and regional markets offered immense potential, and our strategy was built around participating in this transformation long before it became an industry trend.”
He further added, “As we enter the next phase of growth, our focus is on creating a globally connected hospitality platform rooted in regional India. Our partnership with Wyndham, expanding portfolio of brands and strong development pipeline position us well to capitalize on the evolving travel landscape and create long-term value for our stakeholders.”
India’s hospitality sector is entering a new phase of growth, driven by rising demand for spiritual journeys, experiential holidays, destination weddings and tourism destinations supported by expanding infrastructure. Changing traveller preferences and improved connectivity are creating fresh opportunities beyond traditional metropolitan markets.
Cygnett Hotels & Resorts is positioning itself to capture this emerging potential by expanding into promising locations and developing properties in high-growth destinations. The company believes the future of Indian hospitality will be shaped by diverse travel experiences, regional growth centres and evolving consumer expectations.
With an ambitious expansion strategy, Cygnett aims to build a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and over 10,000 keys by 2030. The target reflects the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening its presence across India and South Asia while contributing to the next chapter of the region’s hospitality growth story.
